There has been a debate on Jobs availability in Kenya. There are so many graduates who are jobless yet there are many jobs being re-advertised in many organizations. The qualifications are missing. Why not advance?
As much as a lot of people who get to apply to outside universities for scholarships end up saying there due to better opportunities, some come back and a higher chance in getting jobs.
Question is… Are there any funding opportunities for postgraduate students in Kenya? Yes.
- Helb Scholarships offers 200,000 for masters students and 450,000 for PHD students for 2 and 3 years respectively. The application is from May to July every year. On the same site, one can get loans too to study one’s postgraduate studies.
- DAAD is also popular with scholarships for universitites in Kenya and East Africa every year.
- The National Research Fund a partner of Nacosti also releases money for research for Universities from the Kenyan Government.
